Correction: the story EuroPUR new appointments in the pipeline referred to the sister organisation Euro-Moulders. The corrected story follows:
Madrid - Euro-Moulders, the Europe-wide trade association for flexible polyurethane foam, is close to appointing a person to interface between moulded foamers and the automotive industry, Axel Kamprath, secretary general said on the side-lines of the Europur annual meeting, 7 June.
The role has been created to help the foam industry interact more closely with OEMs which have a high turnover of staff. It comes as a part of the wide-ranging restructuring of the organisation. That position looks to be closer to being filled than that of Europur secretary general, currently occupied by Kamprath.
Rik de Vos, vice president, Europur, said that there had been over 140 "highly qualified applicants" for the role which will become vacant when Kamprath retires in the next few months. It is likely to take several months to fill the new role, as it is being scoped out over the summer. The secretary general will have much reduced responsibility for the technical side of the organisation, with the creation of a technical director role. This new role has developed out of Europur's restructuring.
