Chemnitz, Germany – Eurofoam has launched a new foam aimed mainly at the mattress industry as a core foam.
The firm said the foam’s name xdura stands for “extend duration” and refers to its “outstanding properties in fatigue tests.” The foam is, according to the firm, "practically undestroyable."
“Wet compression set values are even better than for comparable standard grades,” the firm added.
According to Eurofoam, it was developed on the firm's own recipes and produced on slabstock foam machinery.
At present it is produced in Germany, “but we might extend production to other foaming sites within our group in future.”
The plant is located in Burkhardtsdorf.
