Brussels, Belgium -- Europur - the European Association of Flexible Polyurethane Foam Blocks Manufacturers - has nominated Michel Baumgartner its new secretary general.
Baumgartner joined the association - and its sister association, Euro-Moulders - the European Association of Manufacturers of Moulded Polyurethane Parts for the Automotive Industry, in mid-November and will replace Axel Kamprath in the new year.
French-born Baumgartner has been working for a Brussels-based association management company since 2005, managing trade associations for a number of industries. Baumgartner also represented the battery industry at EU-level, establishing working relationships with key stakeholders in the European institutions. He managed the European Rental Association and coordinated the EU-Russia Industrialists Roundtable's Secreatariat.
