Baumgartner added that no companies had left the association so far this year.
The two flexible foam makers who have joined are Greiner's South African subsidiary and Ghana's Ashfoam, which is headquartered in Accra but has plants in Benin and Niger. As well as making flexible polyurethane foam, the company operates a number of home furnishing outlets.
Foam adhesive company SABA Dinxperlo has also joined the group, as has silicone surfactant company Siltech.
A quintet of companies and organisations involved in polyurethane recycling have also signed up. These are Advanced Foam Recycling of Richmond Hills, Texas; Retour Matras, based in Nieuwerbrug, Netherlands; Agglorex from Lommel, Belgium; Eurofed, a foam scrap trader located near Milan, Italy, and Hans Jurgen Keil Anlangenbau, based near Lemforde, Germany.
