Yantai, China — The Chinese press reports that there has been an explosion in an intermediate bulk storage tank at Wanhua's Yantai site, which killed four and injured four more.
The plant was shut down for routine maintenance when the explosion in the 12m3 tank occurred. There were no subsequent explosions or pollution to the surrounding environment, the press report. Wanhua is investigating the cause of the explosion.
