Duesseldorf, Germany - French polyurethane moulder Exsto is in the process of setting up a new moulding operation in Sao Paolo, Brazil, to serve the local oil and gas extraction businesses with durable cast polyurethane parts.
The new Brazilian unit, which will employ about 20 people, will be operational in early 2011, said Hervé Mouveroux, sales manager for the industrial market, with Romans, France-based Exsto. He did not give a figure for Exsto's investment in the new enterprise.
Until late 2009, the Exsto part-making venture was part of the Michel Baulé SA polyurethane elastomer machinery and systems business, until the parent company sold Exsto to a new holding company Finexsto, set up for the purpose, in October 2009.
The Chinese unit's products replicate the parts made by the parent unit in France: these are largely cast polyurethane products, but include some thermoplastic parts.
