Gurten, Austria -- Fill Machine Engineering, a specialist in production systems for diverse sectors including polyurethane, and ifm consulting, experts in maintenance consulting and engineering, are to cooperate to supply production optimisation and condition monitoring from a single source.
The two companies signed an agreement to cooperate on 12 July 2011.
Fill Machine Engineering claims to have been "an international leader in custom-specific production systems and machines for many years now." ifm consulting, part of ifm electronic GmbH, supplies maintenance consulting and engineering, from "the sensor all the way to SAP".
ifm consulting will market the ECC software developed by Fill under the name "OEEpro", a package that has already prompted very positive feedback from customers at the GIFA international foundry trade fair (28 June - 2 July 2011). As a result, ifm's portfolio in maintenance and condition monitoring has been expanded to include production optimisation.
The two companies have gained a major contract from a well known German car and commercial vehicle manufacturer for the full range of services, from condition monitoring through to production optimisation.
"Our product portfolios complement one another very well. ifm is a capable partner in the field of solutions for condition monitoring. This total solution delivers decisive benefits for our customers from both an economic and a technological perspective," said Fill's joint ceo Wolfgang Rathner, in the company statement.
