Richmond, Virginia -- Filtrona Porous Technologies is opening a new office in Singapore, in March 2012.
Filtrona, which makes fluid-handling components using polyurethane, bonded fibre, and porous plastic, will use this office as a "Commercial Center of Excellence" and its regional headquarters for growth businesses in the Asia Pacific region.
The new location will allow Filtrona to provide its customers with regional service and co-ordinated support, supported by its manufacturing facilities in China, Europe and North America, the company said.
This strategic expansion in Asia has been supported by the Economic Development Board of Singapore, Filtrona added.
"This investment provides dedicated local support to the growing needs of our Asian customer base, and will allow a more timely and tailored response to their technical and development requirements," said Russ Rogers, president Filtrona Porous Technologies, in a company statement.
