By Simona Stankovska, staff writer.Tacarigua, Trinidad and Tobago - A fire at a mattress warehouse owned by Advance Foam Ltd, has caused $18-million worth of damage.The North division of the Trinidad and Tobago fire service received a call at 9.40 pm on Sunday 27 May, from the factory in Orange Grove, according to Ian Green, public relations officer for the Trinidad and Tobago fire service, in a 29 May telephone conversation. The fire was "very serious," and therefore six fire stations responded, he added."On arrival the building was well alight, it took two hours to bring the fire under control and four to five hours to completely extinguish it," Green reported. Advance Foam makes polyurethane foam mattresses for bedding company Serta Caribbean, and has manufacturing facilities in Jamaica as well as Trinidad, according to the company's website. Green said that no one was injured and the cause of the fire is yet to be determined."
