Heinsberg, Germany — Nashville, Tennessee-based, Firestone Building Products has opened its first European insulation manufacturing plant here.
The plant occupies an area of 30,172 m2 on a 58.89 ha plot close to the town, according to contractor Panattoni. No details of machinery or capacity were forthcoming from the insulation maker.
When Firestone announced the plant in 2015, Tim Dunn was the company's president. He said the investment was 'a key part of our overarching strategy to grow our business and ensure we are meeting the needs of our European and global customers.'
Firestone is a subsidiary of Japan's Bridgestone.
