Ludwigshafen , Germany - October 21, 2010 - The Supervisory Board of BASF SE has appointed its first woman member, Anke Schäferkordt effective 17 Dec, succeeding Stephen Green.
She is ceo of media group RTL Deutschland and RTL Television, where she has worked since Sept 2005, and will be nominated to the Commercial Register Court of the City of Ludwigshafen by Eggert Voscherau, chairman of the supervisory board of BASF SE.
