Ahaus, Germany – Flint Group has added an Extra Firm option to its range of Rotec compressible polyurethane sleeves for flexographic printing.
Flint Group expands PU sleeve options for printers

A balance of hardness and compressibility is need to achieve the best printability. Customers told Flint that it needed more options in its product line.
The new sleeve, introduced in response to this feedback, has a hardness level of 70 Shore A. It joins the existing 50 Shore A Medium and 60 Shore A Firm options.
The sleeves have a round, closed-cell polyurethane structure. This means that, in contrast to compressible tape, the sleeve never loses its level of compressibility.
‘Flint Group listens to printers, new product development is focused on customer needs,’ said Gina Wienbracke. Wienbracke is Flint’s product manager for Rotec sleeves and adapters. ‘This allows the printer to meet the increasing demands of the flexographic market,’ she added.
