Münster, Germany - German chemical giant BASF has been named as a preferred global supplier by the Ford Motor Company, joining 36 other firms worldwide.
''BASF has a long and proud relationship with Ford,'' said Jeffrey Leone, who is responsible for the Ford account at BASF.

The chemical company manufactures plastics, polyurethanes and polymers for automotive parts and components as well as vehicle coatings.
