Carlsbad, California – Additive manufacturing specialist Forecast 3D has announced a strategic partnership with Lubrizol. It will use Lubrizol’s TPU materials in its HP Jet Fusion 4200 series 3D printers.
Lubrizol’s recently launched Estane 3D TPU M95A is the only TPU certified for use in these HP 3D printers. It was formulated with high-volume production in mind.
The company claims it is easy to unpack at room temperature, while maintaining key material properties such as high elongation, abrasion resistance and cold flexibility. These are typically required for applications such as footwear, automotive and industrial applications.
‘Our initial experience and success with the Lubrizol TPU material has exceeded our expectations. We have quickly seen the customer applications that will be enabled in production with this new material,' said Ken Burns, Forecast 3D’s VP Commercial. ‘Partnering with Lubrizol, a world-leading materials expert, allows us to accelerate solutions for our customers.’
