Kayseri, Turkey -- Form Sunger expects to produce 1.2m m³ of flexible foam by the end of 2015 from a new facility recently opened in the Incesu organised industrial zone in Turkey's central province of Kayseri, according to local press reports.
The plant has produced 650,000 m³ foam in the first six months of 2015, the foam is aimed at the most profitable industrial sectors such as automotive, according to senior company representatives.
"With our production capacities we are continuing to grow, we will raise our share of the technical foam market, " Mehmet Ali Yoruk, ceo, told local business daily Dunya.
The investment is worth more than TRY 60m (EUR 17.36m), according to data from Form Sunger.
Form Sunger already operates a plant in Turkey, and according to its chief executive, it plans to keep output at the two plants balanced.
The company claims to be Turkey's leading producer of flexible PU foam, an with its recent expansion, is planning to establish itself as one of the five industry players in Europe. The company expects to have capacity of 2.7m m³ foam/year with the new expansion fully operational.
