Cologne, Germany - Turkey's Form Sunger is building additional capacity near its flexible slabstock plant in Kayseri, Turkey.
Form Sunger is investing €20m in cash in the 20,000 tonne/year plant expansion, said Mehmet Ali Yoruk, general manager, speaking at the sidelines of Interzum. This will take total capacity at the firm to 50,000 tonnes/year when complete. The new plant will enclose an area of 40 000 sq.m.
Yoruk said that Form Sunger is part of Boydak holding, a conglomerate with interests in banking, power generation and furniture manufacture. Much production is for use by company furniture subsidiaries and significant proportion is exported directly around the Mediterranean SEA and overland to the east and the Causacus, Yoruk said.
