Kremsmunster, Austria – Greiner, the privately held conglomerate, said 2019 sales in its polyurethane foam division reached EUR 400m. This is down slightly on the EUR 407m recorded in 2018.
Former Eurofoam sales reached EUR 400m in 2019
In April this year, Greiner bought out Recticel's share in the two companies' joint venture, Eurofoam.
CEO Axel Kuhner said: 'Our foam division has long been a key element within our group, and with the increase of our Eurofoam participation to 100% we can continue to enhance our global competence in the foam sector and step up the intensity of future expansion.'
Also commenting in the company's annual report, Hannes Mosser, CFO said: '[This was] a strategic and long-planned acquisition … the largest in the history of our company.'
