Highpoint, North Carolina -- A polyurethane foam mattress range in which each line is designed specifically for the particular retailer has been launched by a new partnership which includes former Sleepy’s exec Harry Goodman.
Goodman, new company Rush Mattress’ president and his business partner Mike Rush, the logistics and backend expert, describe the idea as "an entirely new approach" in the bedding industry.
Goodman said: “Most manufacturers try to sell what they need to sell. We’re going to work with retailers to find the individual mix to turn on their floors and the price points to meet their margins.
“Our goal is to produce high quality, high value mattresses with beautiful fabrics that appeal to the senses. And we offer tremendous flexibility because we know from our own experiences what retailers need. We are completely flexible with design, specifications and price points to meet our customers’ needs,” he added.
The new company is set to showcase its pre-made mattress lines at North Carolina’s Spring High Point home furnishings Market in April.
Rush said the memory foam would be produced locally from foam layers that have received CertiPUR-US certification.
