Dubai -- Bayer Pearl has laid the foundations for its new HQ and innovation centre in Dubai Investments Park.
As previously reported at Utech-polyurethane.com, Bayer MaterialScience AG and Pearl Insulation Materials Industries announced plans for the joint venture facility earlier this year.
The facility will feature an R&D centre, application laboratories and a demonstration centre and is scheduled for completion next year.
Bayer Pearl ceo Thorsten Eschmeier said: "The Middle East is one of the fastest growing economies in the world, and Dubai serves as the ideal base for us to further strengthen our presence in the region."
"Our new site makes it possible to expand our competence in developing new applications and improved manufacturing processes for polyurethane products in close collaboration with our customers," he added.
