Frankfurt, Germany--four foamers, Nova Sunger, Aramis, Corect and Dendro formally became members of EurPUR, taking the number of companies in membership to 50 out of 107 flexible foamers in Europe, today.
This takes the total volume of flexible foam made by EuroPUR members to over 60% of European production, said Michel Baumgartner, EuroPUR general secretary.
Nova Sunger is based in Sakarya, Turkey, where it has two factories, said Yusuf Aydin, vice chairman. Speaking on the sidelines of the meeting he told UTECH-polyurethane.com that his firm has invested in cutting and conveying equipment in Sakarya. Sakayrya is about 1 hour from Istanbul, Aydin added. He said his firm is looking at building a new foam plant in Izmir, southern Turkey to meet growing regional demand. Aydin added that his firm is working with machinery suppliers to assess possible layouts for the factory.
Robert Iorga, foam plant manager of Aramis outlined his firm's capacity at its Maramures, Romania plant, where in addition to making flexible foam it also produces a wide range of furniture.
Nowe Skalmierzyce, Poland-based Correct Foam, which makes around 4000 sofas and 7000 mattresses/day also joined the company. The firm was introduced by Slawomir Narozniak, production manager, who said that his company has production in the US in Danville, Virgina.
Finally Sebastian Lucynski, managing director of Dendro introduced his comp;any which employs 516 people in Rogoźno, Poland.
