France's Allrim changes hands

Phillippe Michaud (pictured left) takes over from Dominique Benazet who ran the company for over 20 years.
Michaud is a chemical engineer who worked for Solvay and then joined Huntsman where he moved from being an industrial project manager to marketing director before taking over responsibility for research and development in the firm's advanced materials division. In 2013, he joined Sika where he was vice president of operations for the firm's Axson business unit.
According to an Allrim press release the firm will continue to develop products and processes which are more environmentally friendly, more easily recycled, renewable and more energy efficient.
Michaud explained he decided to purchase the business because: “Allrim was an opportunity. It is a great innovation platform and there is a strong innovation culture, the people are entrepreneurial.”
