Weinheim, Germany - Freudenberg Forschungsdienste KG is offering a two-day seminar, 18-19 Jan 2011. to introduce the theory and practice of polyurethanes and their chemistry, processing and products to those new to the sector.
The seminar, to be held in German, aims to give the participants an overview of materials based on polyurethane, giving some insight into all key areas, from raw materials through the production to processing into finished products and mouldings.
Investigation of mechanical properties and analysis round out the seminar, using laboratory testing and typical handling and processing techniques.
Finally, a sense of the possibilities and limitations of the material class will be taught, the company says.
Freudenberg says the seminar, which costs Euro 950, is aimed at those who wish to get an overview of the versatility of polyurethanes. The two-training days allow developers and users, and also business people, a good introduction to the topic. This chemistry is aimed at allowing non-chemists to follow the basics.
