Forshan, Guangzhou – German PU mould maker Frimo and Chinese injection moulding machinery company Yizumi are to cooperate in automotive applications.
The companies 'aim to establish a long term partnership to offer customers additional value', according to Frimo.
Founded in 2002, Guangdong Yizumi Precision Machinery makes injection moulding, die-casting and rubber injection machinery. It has technology service centres in the US and India, as well as 30 salespeople outside China.
In addition, Yizumi has an R&D centre on the RWTH campus in Aachen, Germany. Yizumi said it wants to become a global company, and the Aachen centre will help achieve this aim.
Frimo and Yizumi hope to commercialise a combined process that will enable thermoplastic parts with polyurethane surfaces to be made in-line.
