Chelmsford, Massachusetts – Nofia flame retardants from FRX Polymers have been awarded Safer designation from ChemForward. The non-halogenated polymeric products’ applications include polyurethanes, and are particularly useful for the electronics sector.
To qualify for Safer designation, all chemicals present at or above 100pm must have been disclosed and given this toxicological assessment against ChemForward’s hazard methodology. They must not present high hazards.
The designation was awarded after a rigorous third-party toxicological assessment and verification process. This considers both human and environmental safety.
