Frankfurt, Germany - The FSK, the German association for foamed plastics and polyurethanes, has announced that its Euro 10 000 Polyurethane Innovation Award for 2012 will also reward students for their technical and creative ideas and innovations around polyurethane with attractive prizes. "
"This is not only a good opportunity for participants to share their ideas and innovations to show a wider audience, but also a worthwhile investment in the future," said Dr Hans-W. Paul Schloz, FSK managing director, discussing the benefits of the innovation award for the students.
The association will give a first prize of Euro 3000 to a student or graduate from the specialities -- design or process engineering, chemistry, and plastics engineering. The second prize is worth Euro 1500, with a third prize prize of Euro 500.
The award recognises new ideas and product design methods for polyurethane. Developments in process optimisation and production technologies that either give advantages for the polyurethane component (better mechanical properties) or other benefits (cost and time savings).
