By Liz White, UT staffFrankfurt, Germany-Following the merger of two German foamers' associations-the Association of Foam Converters (Verband Schaumstoffverarbeiter VSV eV) and the Association of Foamed Plastics (FSK eV) last year-the FSK has set up a new group for specialist foam converters. The new unit was founded on the 50th anniversary of the FSK, to continue the memberships and activities of the VSV, according to a statement from the association. The FSK said that in the coming months, major tasks of this new unit will include: the application of changed waste-disposal systems; the European chemical policy; issues of business administration and law; as well as industrial environment protection and safety at work. Georg Heinlein, former VSV chairman and member of the FSK executive board and FSK chairman Albrecht Manderscheid handed over the specialist group to newly elected chairman Gerhard Hinzsch. His assistant chairmen are: Martin Eigenherr, Thomas Heinlein and Oliver Köpp.The picture shows Hans Dieter Schloz (managing director FSK, left) and Albrecht Manderscheid (FSK chairman, right) together with the assistant chairmen."
