Council Bluffs, Iowa – Polyurethane foam specialist Future Foam is to renovate a 32,000m2 facility in Garland, Texas, for the manufacture of foam. Production is expected to start by the end of the year.
The facility is nearly 60 years old, and has been empty since 2005. The $3m project is expected to create 104 full-time jobs, and further expansions are planned in the future. The rail service to the facility will also be reactivated.
Patrick Medinger, Future Foam’s CFO, described Garland as a strategic location for the business. ‘We are proud to invest where our customers do business,’ he said.
