Seattle, Washington — Gaco Western announced its latest foam development at the SPFA’s 2017 SprayFoam Convention in Palm Springs, California. GacoCanary will be, the company claims, the first isocyanate-free spray foam.
GacoCanary isocyanate-free spray foam to take flight in 2018
Gaco hopes that the patented GacoCanary product will change the face of the spray foam industry, as it contains neither isocyanates nor any other sensitising components.
The foam will be compatible with all of the equipment used to apply its existing closed cell spray foam products, and offer the same sprayability. The two part system will have one-pass and Class 1 burn performance, and be formulated with blowing agents that have low global warming potential.
“Gaco is committed to leading the march toward better worker and occupant safety, and is proud to be the first in our industry to have patented an isocyanate-free spray foam formula,” said Dan Nelson, vice-president of R&D at Gaco.
GacoCanary is slated to launch in 2018.
