Parsippany, New Jersey – EnergyGuard Polyiso insulation board from roofing manufacturer GAF has been awarded Green Circle certification for its recycled content.
The company claims to be the first roofing manufacturer to gain this accreditation for polyisocyanurate roof insulation. The certification was awarded after a thorough analysis by GreenCircle Certified, including site visits to three GAF insulation manufacturing plants, and a study of its supply chain, the firm said.
The process verified the accuracy and quantity of all the recycled content claims, GAF added.
“This confirmation of our published data documents what we’ve been doing all along: making a great product and using pre- and post-consumer recycled ingredients to do it,” said Martin Grohman, executive director of sustainability at GAF.
