Tacoma, Washington -- General Plastics Manufacturing Co. has hired Jess Valler as its new manufacturing engineer. Valler brings 18 years of engineering experience in multiple roles and industries to the polyurethane foam products innovator, a 16 Jan announcement said.

At General Plastics, Valler will be responsible for optimising product quality and keeping the operation efficient.

Valler's manufacturing, design and project management skills will help General to accelerate creation of new products for the aerospace industry and other commercial markets, the company said.

In particular, he will focus on making modifications to existing processes and equipment, as well as designing new ones as the company continues to grow.

"We are pleased to welcome Jess Valler to the General Plastics team, where his talents and experience will continue our 70-year tradition of excellence in developing and manufacturing products that satisfy our customers' demanding requirements," said president Bruce Lind.

Valler was previously a design engineer in the new-product development group at Tacoma-based Milgard Manufacturing Inc.

Tacoma, Washington-based General Plastics develops and manufactures rigid and flexible polyurethane foam products, which include its signature Last-A-Foam brand and build-to-print composite parts.
