Munich, Germany-Automobilwoche, a sister publication of Automotive News and Urethanes Technology, has been chosen business publication of the year in its category by Deutsche Fachpresse, the German trade press association. Automobilwoche is a German-language biweekly newspaper covering the automotive industry and published by Crain Communications. It is based in Munich. Criteria for the award included editorial concept, layout, and success in advertising and circulation. The judges cited the publication's launch in a highly competitive market segment in 2001 and the successful transfer of an American concept to Germany. Judges said Automobilwoche is one of the most-often-quoted business publications in the mainstream German media.
