High-end German polymer hose extruder Polyvanced plans to invest in a new, expanded plant near its existing Czech Republic operation in Ceská Lípa.
Polyvanced, based in Osnabrück, Germany, and formerly known as Dr Reuter Microcell-PU, intends to construct its Czech facility on a greenfield site. The operation is set to employ up to 745, according to Czechinvest, the country's investment and development agency.
The company's main production is carried out at its existing Ceská Lípa plant. There, it runs 16 extrusion lines turning out 45 million metres of tubing per year with a weight of some 1500 tonnes.
It manufactures a range of products including antistatic, reinforced, coil and multi hoses as well as corrugated hoses for reduced bending radius. Polyvanced makes use of materials including polyamide, polyurethane and polyethylene in its production process.
In Osnabrück, the firm, which is considered an innovator in the flexible tubing field, recently expanded its development centre and technical research laboratories. Polyvanced devotes around 15 percent of its annual investments to research and development.
The company serves the construction, environmental technology, medical technical systems and healthcare as well as the automotive industry.
