Telangana, India – Mattress maker Emma has made a move into India’s online mattress market. It is selling its products on its own website, and also via platforms such as Amazon.
The Frankfurt-headquartered company has launched four models from its global collection onto the Indian market. Its Original, Hybrid, Adapt and Wave II products cover a range of customer preferences, with prices ranging from INR5779 ($70) to INR50,000 ($600).
“We see India as an exciting market for our mattresses,” said Karthik Mohan, head of Emma’s Indian business. “For that, our sleep scientists worked to understand the sleep preferences of Indians and adapted our global mattresses accordingly.”
Emma said it engaged more than 1500 customers in a two-year research initiative to help it create mattresses that align with Indian sleeping preferences, body types and local conditions.
