London - It's the exhibition season in Europe, and after a week which saw the Plast 2009 exhibition held in Milan, the JEC Composites show in Paris, and the VDI Automotive meeting in Mannheim, in Germany, the polyurethanes sector is gearing up for its own specialist meeting.
Next week sees the world of polyurethanes gather at a meeting dedicated solely to its own interests. UTECH EUROPE 2009 will be held Tuesday 31 March to Thursday 2 April at the Maastricht Exhibition and Congress Centre.
Over 1000 specialists from the global PU industry have already registered in advance for the exhibition. These come from all parts of the world, many obviously from across West, central and eastern Europe, but some also from the US and South America, all parts of Africa -- Egypt and Morocco through Senegal down to South Africa -- as well as from the Middle East, and China, Korea and Japan in the Far East.
This will be one of the most significant events in the polyurethane community this year, and comes at a crucial time, as businesses grapple with the effects of the current global economic downturn.
Organisers IPI BV and Crain Communications Ltd (publisher of Urethanes Technology International) anticipate that over three thousand technical and commercial specialists in the polyurethanes sector will converge on Maastricht in the Netherlands, for this triennial event.
Such visitors, consisting of senior marketing and technical specialists from all sectors of the polyurethanes industry, will be especially keen in the current challenging commercial climate to find new and more cost-effective materials and methods of production on offer from more than 100 companies signed up to exhibit over the three days of the event.
The conference, running in parallel, will also allow them to hear about the very latest technical developments from more than 70 leading global specialists with the major suppliers of raw materials, processing equipment and other services to the polyurethanes industry.
Its not too late to register for this meeting; delegates for the conference can register online at www.utecheurope2009conference.com and for the exhibition, preregistration is possible at www.utecheurope.nl
