Oxford, UK – World car registrations in June 2019 were down by 6.4% compared with the same month in 2018, at 7.79 m units, according to figures from LMC Automotive.
In the US, sales were lower by 2.40% in June, at 1.5 m units. In the same month in 2018, US dealers sold 1.6 m units.
LMC Automotive added that in China, sales hit 2.0 m units, and were down 9.3% on the previous month. In the same month, in 2018 Chinese dealers sold 2.2 m units.
In Western Europe, sales were 1.5 m units in the month. This is 8% lower than the amount sold in June 2018.
Sales in Brazil and Argentina fell to 249,000 units in the month. This compares with 257,000 units in the same month in 2018.
