London - The global polyurethanes market is projected to value $49.7 billion by 2016, totalling a volume of 28 million tonnes, growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 10.4%, according to a new report by Research and Markets.
The report, called 'Polyurethanes (PU) - A Global Market Watch, 2011-2016', also said that this growth will be primarily supported by rigid and flexible foams, coatings and adhesives. It added that the highest CAGR will be in the Asia-Pacific region, growing 8.6% during the 2011-2016 period. Europe is expected to have a CAGR of 8.1%, followed by the Americas at 7.1%, the report predicts.
