Tupelo, Mississippi -- General Motors has filed a lawsuit accusing foam-makers of a price fixing conspiracy. Many of the defendants are the same as for a number of complaints filed in March by Mississippi furniture manufacturers, according to Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal.
The newspaper reports GM filed a 62-page complaint in eastern Michigan's federal court and asked for a jury trial.
GM claims the defendants and others conspired to fix prices for polyurethane foam in North America, from at least January 1999.
GM did not discover the alleged conspiracy until 2010, following raids on some defendants' facilities by US, Canadian and European authorities, the newspaper said.
