Dahej, Gujarat — Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals Limited (GNFC) has restarted its TDI – II plant at Dahej.
The plant was closed after a leak occurred on the morning of January 15, 2018. No one was injured. The plant restarted today 23 January. GNFC said that the plant had been closed down 'without any property damage or loss of life.'
GNFC thanked the Director of Industrial Safety & Health of Gujarat for inspecting the plant and making safety suggestions.
• GNFC, which also makes high volume chemicals such as fertilisers, declared its best-ever third quarter and nine-month operational revenue performance on 31 December 2017. Operational revenue in third quarter grew 30% to INR 15.9 bn from INR 12.2 bn in the same 2016 period.
While revenue in the first three quarters of the year surged by 14% to INR 41.5 bn in fiscal 2017-18.
GNFC added that the value of exports reached INR 4.14 bn in the period.
