Minneapolis, Minnesota – Graco has launched a new dynamic mix valve. The Voltex valve is designed for dispensing two-component foaming urethanes and silicones.
The company claims it offers uniform, consistent blending of difficult-to-dispense materials in a range of applications. In particular, it has potential in emerging applications such as foam encapsulation of electric vehicle batteries.
It has been built with durable seals and check valves, disposable mixing elements, a servo-electric motor. These, along with error detection technology, are designed to prevent poorly mixed material, and subsequent maintenance and downtime.
Graco added that the valve works with its EFR, PR70 and HFR metering systems.
‘It is a capable and economical solution for many two-component dispensing applications,’ said Matt Bergman, global sealant and adhesive equipment business manager for Graco’s applied fluid technologies division. ‘The valve is already an integral part of the dispensing process for several battery manufacturers.’
