By David Reed, UT EditorMinneapolis, Minnesota-Graco Inc. is combining the reaction injection moulding (RIM) businesses it acquired earlier this year to create Gusmer I Decker, headquartered in Lakewood, New Jersey, home of the former Gusmer Inc. operation. It will be led by Denis Commette, who was previously vice president & general manager, of Gusmer.The new business will also continue to operate from the Palm City, Florida, location of Decker Industries, Inc., the RIM subsidiary of Liquid Control Corp. which Graco also acquired earlier in the year, a statement from Graco added."Combining the resources of these two well-respected RIM design and manufacturing business units will allow us to significantly expand our product offerings, as well as enhance technical/customer support around the world," said Commette. "It will make Gusmer I Decker an industry leader," he added.For more than 75 years, Graco has led the industry, developing a reputation for producing the most dependable fluid handling equipment on the market, Graco's statement claimed. Product performance and support will continue to be Gusmer I Decker's primary focus, while developing new applications and markets for RIM and RIM spray equipment worldwide, the statement added."
