Minneapolis, Minnesota -- Spray polyurethane equipment supplier Graco Inc. has launched its "next generation polyurethane mixing head" EP Pour Gun for open pour applications and closed-mould injection.
The "updated mixhead technology" allows users to rebuild the mixing head on site instead of sending it back to the manufacturer for a rebuild, a 22 April Graco statement said.
"Manufacturers will no longer have a second mixhead waiting in reserve, which will lower capital outlay and rebuild costs," says Stephanie Gosset, worldwide product marketing manager, of Graco's Applied Fluid Technologies Division. "With this in-house serviceability, the return on investment is obvious," she added.
Capable of processing both rigid and flexible polyurethane's, as well as filled materials, the EP Pour Gun features flow rates of 1 to 50 lb/min (0.45 to 22.7 kg/min) and wide fluid ratio capabilities of 1:1 to greater than 5:1, p.
Graco said the EP Pour Gun offers reliable performance with a lubricated purge rod that reduces material sticking. In addition, its mechanically self-cleaning design eliminates costly solvent flushing, the company added. (RD)
