Amberg, Germany – Grammer, an automotive seating and interiors company, is bringing part of its R&D in-house to a joint venture site in Pune, India.
Grammer moves R&D to India
The company said the new site will be operated with AllyGrow Technologies and it will be responsible for handling special R&D tasks, in particular activities that are already being carried out mainly by external service providers'.
'The optimal use of R&D resources is is of paramount importance to bring a large number of new projects and product innovations to market,' said CEO Hartmut Muller.
Muller added: 'We will continue our R&D process in India to optimise our strategy and make our R&D organisation significantly more global.'
AllyGrow describes itself as 'a technology driven organisation that focuses on core engineering design, development and manufacturing engineering services'.
It was founded in 2015, and is backed by Zodius Technology Fund. The fund invests in a range of technology and engineering companies.
