Amburg, Germany – Automotive and transport seat maker Grammer sales were over EUR 2bn for the first time in 2019.
The company said they were up 9% on 2018, in a statement of its preliminary results. If the numbers are confirmed in the audited accounts this will show an increase of EUR 150m on the 2018 sales number.
The accounts benefit from the first consolidation of TMD a US plastics moulding company that specialises in the automotive segment. This added around EUR 200m to the figures.
Despite lower demand in the second half of 2019 for commercial vehicle sales, these were unchanged at around EUR 600m from 2018, said the company.
Operating EBIT before currency effects was EUR 77m up from EUR75.8m in 2018.
The company plans to report its complete accounts on 30 March
