Washington, DC – In the first eight months of 2020, the US has imported 6.87m refrigerators. This is an increase of 2.30m units on the 4.57m units imported in the same period in 2019.
The ranking of the largest sources of imports to the US in the first eight months of the year remain unchanged from the previous month. Top of the list was China, which provided 6.42 m refrigerators. It was followed by Mexico with 139,347 units, Thailand with 90,288 units, and Canada with 61,182 units.
In August 2020, the US imported a total of 1.38m refrigerators, up by 727,000 units, or 112%, on the same month last year. In August 2019, the US imported 615,000 units.
