Florence, Kentucky - Hamilton Sunstrand, a part of United Technologies Corp., and Parkway Products Inc. have formed the new joint venture Parway-HS LLC, a recent Parkway statement said.
The newly formed company, serving as Hamilton Sundstrand's global composites manufacturing centre, will initially focus on composite components for aircraft air management systems and auxiliary power units. Composite products will be manufactured at a newly-renovated facility at Parkway's existing site in Saltillo, Mexico, the statement said.
Parkway chief executive officer Joe Klunk will serve as president, and Parkway vice presidents Nick Bitter and Dan Deutenberg will serve as ceo and cfo respectively.
Parkway Products, which was purchased by four of its executives including Bitter and Deutenberg in 2006, specialises in moulding high performance thermoplastics, thermosets, composites, polyurethane, rubber & elastomers and injection-moulded magnesium.
With 2008 revenues of $6200 million, Hamilton Sundstrand employs about 18 000 people worldwide and is headquartered in Windsor Locks, Connecticut, supplying advanced aerospace and industrial products. (RD)
