Mumbai, India – Aether Industries and Saudi Aramco Technologies has announced the first commercial application of their sustainable Converge polyols technology. The polyols, commercialised in conjunction with Saudi Aramco Technologies, will be used by US adhesives manufacturer HB Fuller.
The polyols contain up to 40% carbon dioxide by weight, and are designed for the CASE market.
“For us, this marks a significant commercialisation success in our partnership with Aether Industries and HB Fuller,” said Raed Abudawoud, CEO of Saudi Aramco Technologies. “Our teams have collaborated to develop the technology for these polyols, aiming to reduce the carbon footprint compared to industry standards and find sustainable alternatives in the CASE industry.”
A formal licensing agreement between Aether and Aramco to commercialise Converge technology was signed in 2023. The two companies had collaborated on the development and validation of the technology platform for several years.
