Heinsberg, Germany — Nashville, Tennessee-based, Firestone Building Products has announced it is building its first European insulation manufacturing plant in Heinsberg, Germany.
Troy Geuther, managing director of international operations and vice president, Firestone Building Products said: "The new facility will expand production and distribution of polyiso foam, the company's polyiso foam insulation used in commercial construction."
"The investment in expanded manufacturing capacity for our Firestone roofing insulation products is a key part of our overarching strategy to grow our business and ensure we are meeting the needs of our European and global customers," said Tim Dunn, president of Firestone Building Products. "We are excited to work with our local business partners and government officials to expand our global operations in Heinsberg."
The facility is expected to be fully operational in 2018. Firestone is a subsidiary of Japan's Bridgestone.
