Hebi, Henan - Henan Energy and Chemical Industry Group is to start trial runs of its 60kT/year PTMEG project in November 2014.
Construction started in October 2013. The plant is located in Hebi, Henan province with 67,000 m² total area. It has licensed the acetic anhydride alcoholysis technology from Korea's PTG.
The project has received investment close to RMB1bn ($163m) and is expected to go into full operation by the end of 2014, according to the company.
Henan Energy and Chemical Industry Group is headquartered in Zhengzhou, Henan province and had over RMB200bn revenue in 2013.
