Dusseldorf, Germany – Laundry and personal care products-to-reactive polyurethane systems company, Henkel reported nominal sales in its Adhesive Technologies business unit were flat in 2016 at EUR 8.9 bn the same level as in 2015.
Operating profit in the division rose 6.8% to EUR 1.56 bn, the company said.
Henkel added that there had been double digit growth in sales in Latin America and strong growth in the Eastern Europe.
Asian sales excluding Japan “showed a solid development,” the firm said. Sales in the Africa/Middle East region were positive, “despite the ongoing uncertain political situation and deterioration in the economic conditions prevailing in parts of the region. Sales in the mature markets were on prior-year level.”
