Sankt Augustin, Germany – PU processing equipment manufacturer Hennecke is introducing a new generation of high-pressure metering machines. The first model in the new series is the entry-level Ecoplus MK2, designed primarily for manual PU production. But the company says it has optimised the machine for efficient resource utilisation, energy consumption and digitalisation.
The mixhead, metering line and automation features are all new, but based on technology from higher-end machinery in the company’s range. The metering pump is the recently introduced HX model with integrated sensors to support predictive maintenance. Three sizes of mixhead are available from Hennecke’s MT-E series, which the company says is suitable for both open shot and docked processing of PU.
The Ecoplus MK2 is controlled by the Simatic HMI with a new visualisation system called Foamatic and there is an option to control the HMI remotely through most network-compatible devices with a display, including smartphones, tablets and touchscreen monitors.
Because of standardisation of components, and the use of common parts from across the company’s range, Hennecke says it can deliver systems faster and more cost-effectively, with lead times halved from 16-20 weeks to ‘around eight weeks’.
‘We have focused on long-term and sustainable customer benefits with the highest quality at a favourable price," said Jens Winiarz, senior sales director at Hennecke. ‘The new Ecoplus MK 2 doesn't simply replace its predecessor. With the pioneering equipment features in this customer segment, we are also addressing completely new market.’
The Ecoplus MK2 is set to be followed by the Highline MK2 in autumn 2022 and the Topline MK2 in 2023.
